Teaching Assistants with named children - Highfield Schools

Highfield Infants and Junior Schools are looking to recruit Teaching Assistants to support specific children with high levels of Special Education Needs, Speech & Language, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Social Communication needsExperience in a setting that has supported children with the above needs is an advantage.  You will work with children in their classes, providing 1:1 support as well as within a small group in and outside the classroom.  You will be required to create resources to enable the children to access the curriculum and develop their understanding.  Previous experience of working with children is essential, preferably in a primary school or early years setting.  Depending on the post, you may be required to provide lunch time support each day.

Highfield Infants’ School – 31.5 hours a week to include lunchtime support (Monday-Friday 9am – 3.20pm

Highfield Junior School – 12 hours a week  (Monday-Thursday 9am – 12pm)

Highfield Junior School – 12 hours a week (Mon, Tues, Thur, Fri 9am – 12pm)

Highfield Junior School – 9 hours a week (Mon, Weds, Thur 9am – 12pm)

All the above posts are term time only, 38 weeks per year.  You will be required to attend some inset days for which you will timesheet.

After School Club Assistant - Highfield Schools

Highfield Infants' & Junior Schools are looking to recruit After School Club assistants to support with their highly successful Stars Before and After School Club, providing appropriate activities, encouraging co-operation, securing their safety, monitoring well-being and ensuring good behaviour.

Hours: 15 hours a week, term time only, 38 weeks a year, Monday – Friday 3.00-6.00pm.  We will consider applications from candidates who are available for 3,4 or 5 days

Salary: Commensurate with experience S3 (£25,854-£26,238 FTE)

Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Highfield Schools

Highfield Infants’ and Junior Schools are recruiting a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes, to enable access to learning for pupils and to assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom.  You will be required to undertake regular PPA cover.  Work may be carried out in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.  You will need to be caring, hardworking, willing to undergo training and most of all, enjoy working with children.

Hours: 11 hours per week, 2 days (Days and daily hours to be discussed with successful applicant) Term time only, 39 weeks per year

After School Club Manager - Alexandra Infant School

Alexandra Infant School are looking to appoint a Manager to run their After School Club.  As the Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the after school club at Alexandra Infant School for children aged 4-7. It will involve the planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes ensuring activities and resources are safe, high quality and suitable to the needs of the children and in accordance with policies and procedures. You will lead a team of staff and work with the parents to meet their needs.  The Manager will be the first point of contact for all parent/carer queries, informing what information is held on the club website and manage the club telephone number. 

Alexandra Infant School, is a two-form entry school, with specialist autistic provision, at the heart of the local community. We are a Rights Respecting School that celebrates achievement, both personal and academic. We work closely with Alexandra Junior School to ensure a smooth transition for Year 2 children.
